We love growing our own produce and to help our local community do the same, we are delighted to be stockists for organic, peat-free Moorland Gold Composts.

Moorland Gold™ organic composts are unique as they are derived from natural moorland deposits. These deposits are sourced and collected from Pennine filter beds to improve drinking water quality. They are then utilized by blending with carefully selected ingredients – forest by-products, coir, river sand, minerals and organic nutrients – to create natural growing mediums.

Moorland Gold™ organic composts are suitable for a variety of uses, from general gardening to specialized growing mediums. These are rich in minerals and trace elements, which encourages the growth of strong and healthy plants, with the reduced need for additional feeding. No artificial ingredients are added, so you can be sure resulting plants will grow as nature intended.

Which one should I buy?

Seed compost - for getting your little plants going.

Potting compost - the most nutritious compost, ideal for plants like tomatoes that need a lot of nutrients. It will be too powerful for most seed so it's not advised to sow seeds into this compost.

Multi-purpose compost - can be used to raise seeds but can be too nutritious for some seeds as the blend is made from a higher percentage of the moorland deposits. It can also be used for potting on but some plants need more nutrition.

Moorland Gold™ is Soil Association approved, for use in organic systems.
